Sophie Simmons wasn’t able to spend Father’s Day with her father, Kiss singer Gene Simmons.
Sophie took off to San Francisco to audition for “The X Factor” instead!
Sophie, 19, the daughter of the rocker and Playboy model Shannon Tweed, wanted to be judged on her talent and not her last name.
“This isn’t about my dad. This is about my audition,” Sophie stated.

But, Gene caught wind of Sophie’s plans and chartered a private jet to fly him and Shannon to San Francisco to show their support for their daughter.
“We think she’s the most talented, wonderful, charming daughter, but we just want her to get want a fair shot,” Gene said of Sophie.
Sophie’s isn’t the first child of a celebrity to audition for the show. Jane Carrey, the daughter of comedian Jim Carrey, auditioned for “American Idol” last year.
There is no word on if Sophie made it through on her audition, but you can catch her on her family’s reality show on A&E called “Gene Simmons: Family Jewels."
