While casting remains up in the air for the Fifty Shades of Grey movie, one other subject fans have been wondering about is how explicit the movie will be. If screenplay writer, Kelly Marcel gets her way, it will be raunchy.
"Well, there is going to be a lot of sex in the film,” Marcel said. “It will be NC-17 [the equivalent of a British 18 certificate]. It’s going to be raunchy. We are 100 percent going there…We did go through and decide which are our [favorite moments] and which are not. Most of them are in there, but I can’t say more than that.”
However, Fifty Shades of Grey movie producer Michael Del Luca said that the movie will be different from what fans think.
“The movie will be different from the book,” De Luca said. “The book is literal by design. ... The cinematic language doesn’t have to be explicit.”
Universal Studios has also commented on the explicity of the movie.
“A screenplay has not yet been written, a rating has not been designated, and we have no further comment," Universal Studios said in a statement.
