Fifty Shades of Grey Movie: Clint Eastwood’s Son, Matt Bomer or Robert Pattinson to Play Christian?

| by Alex Groberman

The people working on Fifty Shades of Grey thought that they were finally at the point where they could focus on the movie itself. Their Anastasia Steele was cast. Their Christian Grey was cast. And despite fans not being particularly fond of either selection, at least the decisions were made.

Fans aren’t happy a lot, and if everyone movie that displeased its potential audience with certain casting choices re-cast their movies, we’d have a lot more production delays than we currently have.

It was all good just a week ago.

But then Charlie Hunnam dropped out of the movie. Hunnam’s selection was praised by producers because of his chemistry with their Anastasia, Dakota Johnson. Now with him gone, her role is suddenly in question as well.

This judge looked an inmate square in the eyes and did something that left the entire courtroom in tears:

Should they cast a Christian that has good chemistry with her? Or should they kick her to the curb and pursue the best Christian they can – figuring that they’ll be able to lure in a new Anastasia if they have a notable Christian?

According to Just Jared, the powers that be have five finalists in mind for the part of Christian. Clint Eastwood’s son, whatshisname, is rumored to be one of the finalists. Matt Bomer, Robert Pattinson and Alexander Skarsgard have also been mentioned as possible contenders.

Who’ll make the cut? We’ll probably get an answer within the next week and a half.
