Another candidate is in the running for the role of Anastasia Steele in the upcoming Fifty Shades of Grey movie: Ashley Greene.
Of course, Greene’s name has be taken as a grain of salt, since Universal Studios has yet to start screening for potential stars—the director of the movie hasn’t even been decided and Kelly Marcel is still completing the script.
But Green is a fan of the novel, according to the International Business Times.
“I have read it,” Green told Hollywoodlife.com. “I feel like I kind of had to, it’s now pop culture and they’re making it into a film. I’m not finished with all of them, but I’m on the third book.”
The missing director and unfinished script hasn’t stopped fans from speculating, though. Matt Bomer (White Collar), Henry Cavill, and Ian Somerhalder (Vampire Diaries) are the reported three men in the lead for the role of Christian Grey and Alexis Bledel (Gilmore Girls), Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones) and Felicity Jones (Like Crazy) have been the most recent speculations for the roles of Anastasia.
But, both Kristen Stewart and Greene have been frequently mentioned in fan talks about who is going to play the role and it has been said that Greene would be the best female lead alongside Ian Somerhalder, should he be chosen.
