Farrah Abraham has entered rehab for alcohol abuse.

“At this time in my life, I need to stay focused on the positive to get through all of the negative that a DUI has caused in my life," Abraham said. “I’m 22 and I want to make better choices and ensure I can recognize when I am putting myself in a bad situation next time."

Over the next 10 days Abraham will participate in an outpatient program at Lukens Institute in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.

Abraham was arrested for a DUI back in March and was ordered to stay alcohol free for six months and participate an alcohol education course.

“[She] had difficulty making eye contact, was standoffish and was sarcastic when answering the questions asked of her,” according to a document from the course.

Abraham blamed her DUI on being sick.

“It was St. Patrick’s Day and I was out with my sister," Abraham said. "I did not plan to drink because I was sick, so I took the role of being in charge and making sure my sister and I would return home together and safely. At 10 p.m., I tried to leave and at that time, my sister was not ready to leave, so I had been sipping on drinks to pass the time.”

“When I was parked, a police officer asked me what I was doing, so I told him I was worried about my sister and I was trying to go home,” she continued. “They insisted on the regular questions and asked me to get out of the car. I got out of the car and because I was upset, I yelled.”
