Ellen DeGeneres and her ‘A Very Good Production’ company will now be producing a brand new NBC sitcom. The single camera, untitled project is being written by Lauren Pomerantz, senior writer for Degeneres’ syndicated daytime talk show.
The show is reportedly about a successful, proudly independent 32-year-old woman who is convinced she just doomed herself to die alone when she notices she’s listed as “a single woman” on the paperwork for the house she’s about to close on.
The show is the latest in a string of pilots under DeGeneres’ production company to be picked up by networks. One project involves her wife, Portia De Rossi, and another is in the works with FOX.
Looks like Ellen is taking over TV, which can only improve TV.
