At the 2012 E3 Ubisoft press conference, Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Blacklist director Max Beland revealed some interesting features for the game including co-op and Spy vs Mercs gameplay as well as presenting the official release trailer for the game. Revealing that Third Echelon has been disbanded, returning hero Sam Fisher and a team of operatives rescue a high level target from the hands of a terrorist organization. Employing sniping, explosives, drag and kill techniques and multiple firearms, Sam Fisher rescues the man who questions who they are as a helicopter appears. Fisher looks calmly at him amidst the chaos and responds “Welcome to Fourth Echelon.”
While no release date was given at the press event, look for Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Blacklist sometime in 2013 for Windows, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
