Downton Abbey Season 4, Episode 2 Ratings Prove to Be Impressive

| by Alex Groberman

There were a lot of questions regarding whether Season 4 of Downton Abbey could live up to expectations this year. With more hype than ever before and ratings prospects appearing to be at an all-time high, critics warned that fans could be in for disappointment.

So far, two episodes in, it looks like everyone’s projections were right on the mark.

The second episode of the season pulled in 9.6 million viewers, according to the Inquistr. That’s better than what the premiere did.

It appears as though last year’s dramatic death has done wonders for raising the show’s profile among folks who hadn’t previously heard of it.

Ratings are expected to be equally impressive in the United States, where the show will return to PBS in January.
