Debbie Phelps, Mother of Michael Phelps, Struts Her Stuff on the Runway

After years of cheering on her kids, her kids- including 14-time Olympic gold medalist Michael Phelps got a chance to cheer on their Mom. Attached are some pictures of Debbie stopping to give Michael a kiss on the runway and a photo of the two on the red carpet at last night’s Heart Truth Red Dress Fashion Show.

If you’re wondering about the story behind Debbie being in the show. Basically, Subway restaurants partnered with Diet Coke to support The Heart Truth this year and with Michael Phelps being one of Subway’s Famous Fans, asked if his mom would like to walk for Subway in this year’s show (last year Subway Famous Fan Laila Ali hit the runway). And to top that- yesterday Subway announced that Debbie is the chain’s newest Famous Fan!
