Actress Courtney Cox: No Sex Since Divorce

“Cougar Town” actress Courteney Cox realizes its time to move on from her marriage to actor David Arquette but doesn’t really sound like she’s over her quirky ex-husband.

Courteney split from David in 2010 and he has now found love with television reporter Christina McLarty.

Cox appeared on Howard Stern’s satellite radio show on Wednesday, admitting, “I’ve not had a man since David… No guy’s asked me out. I’m not saying I’m not ready to have a make-out session, it just makes me nervous. I don’t like to go out in general.”

The actress adds, “I have sexual feelings, there’s ways to deal with that. It’s time for me to get out there. It’s not easy to meet people. They don’t call me.”

It doesn’t sound like Courtney is really ready for a relationship. The star said, “I’m really not ready… it’s hard. I was in a marriage for a very long time… I’m just not there.”

Howard flat-out asked her if she would like to get back together with David.

She replied, “Um, this is awkward, because I actually probably feel like his girlfriend’s listening, besides the millions of other people. There is a huge part of me that… there’s a huge part of my life with David, no question, but I feel like right now our relationship is probably better than it would be if we lived together, it’s definitely better than it used to be. We communicate better, we have much more respect for each other, we listen. It’s hard.”

But, even though Courteney did have a little fling, she still hasn’t had sex with anyone since her split with David. She said, “I’ve made out with one guy”, but didn’t confirm reports it was with her “Cougar Town” co-star Josh Hopkins.

Arquette and Cox are still friends and her ex has even encouraged her to begin dating again.

She adds, “He even says to me, ‘Courteney, it’s time, get out there.’ He’s comfortable with whoever that would be with.”
