Chinese University Beauty Pageant Requires Contestants' Nipples to be at Least 7.8 Inches Apart

| by Michael Allen

A beauty contest for 10 university students in the central Hubei province of China requires contestants to have nipples that are 7.8 inches apart.

A contest staff member told the Global Times that the pageant is based upon traditional Chinese and modern Western standards of beauty. He added that beauty contest organizers used the Internet to come up with this rule, reports the NY Daily News.

Another rule requires that the distance between the contestants' pupils be 46 percent of the distance between their pupil and their ear.

China has hosted numerous beauty pageants, including six Miss World contests, in the past nine years. China's Yu Wenxia won Miss World in northern China last month.
