Chaz Bono Slams National Enquirer for Predicting His Death

TMZ.com reports that Chaz Bono is angry that the National Enquirer for publishing a story predicting his death with the headline: "Chaz Bono -- Only 4 Years to Live!"

The article quotes Dr. Patrick Wanis, who claims Bono's weight, the stress of his recent appearance on 'Dancing With the Stars' and various medications, associated with his gender transofrmation into a man, will "increase Chaz's risk of an early death." The Enquirer claims that Wanis predicts Bono will likely die by 2015.

Bono's legal team sent a letter to the Enquirer, demanding that the tabloid magazine print a retraction and issue a public apology, calling the story "blatantly false and defamatory."

Bono's lawyers also stated: "The salacious and inflammatory headline and article were crafted for the malicious purpose of discriminating against our client's gender and sexual orientation."
