It looks like Charlie Sheen’s image is about improve in a big way. The ‘Anger Management’ star announced Monday (July 16) that he will donate a minimum of $1 million to the United Service Organizations (USO).
Sheen released a statement about his donation, explaining, “It’s an honor for me to be able to give back to these men and women of the military who have done so much for all of us … they put their lives on the line for us every day, and I’m just happy that my work on Anger Management can bring a little bit of relief to the troops and their families.”
The $1 million is just a starting point, he is donating one percent of the profits from his show ‘Anger Management’ with no cap in mind.
This will be the largest donation the USO, which was founded in 1941, has ever received from a single person. The private, non-profit organization will use the money to continue to provide programs, services and entertainment to United States troops and their families.
The first installment of $250,000 will be donated in a private ceremony next week.
So tune into the FX comedy ‘Anger Management’ on Thursday nights to help Charlie support our troops!!
