Barack Obama Avoiding ‘Breaking Bad’ Spoilers Until He’s All Caught Up

President Barack Obama is currently catching up on AMC’s “Breaking Bad” and is constantly reminding people around him not to spoil it.

Obama told the New York Times that he’s way behind in the series, which aired its fifth and final season earlier this year.

In fact, all the television shows he enjoys appear to be popular, spoiler-prone dramas, like “Downton Abbey,” “Homeland,” “House of Cards,” and “Game of Thrones.”

He said his television tastes are a "bit darker" and heavier than the rest of the Obamas.

David Simon’s Baltimore-based “The Wire” struck a chord with him.

“The idea that a child may never be able to escape that poverty because she lacks a decent education or health care, or a community that views her future as their own,” Mr. Obama said, “that should offend all of us and it should compel us to action. We are a better country than this.”

He admired Kevin Spacey’s “ruthlessly efficient” character, Frank Underwood, in the Netflix series “House of Cards.”

“It's true,” Obama said. “I was looking at Kevin Spacey — I was thinking man, this guy's getting a lot of stuff done.”

Spacey plays a particularly conniving U.S. representative and House Majority Whip who would likely have a considerably high score on the Hare Psychopathy checklist.
