Are Kim Kardashian's 15 Minutes of Fame Finally Over?

| by Michael Allen

Being famous for simply being famous is nothing new in Hollywood, but Kim Kardashian (and the rest of the Kardashians) has taken it to a brand new level. Kim has managed to milk her fame for millions, or possibly even a billion dollars.

However, it seems the public adoration for the one-time stylist for Paris Hilton (yes, Kim actually did have an actual "job" once in her life) started to fade when Kim filed for divorce from Kris Humphries after only 72 days of marriage.

Indeed, the Kardashian-Humphries wedding was billed by some as the "Wedding of the Century," right up there with Prince Charles and Lady Diana, and, more recently, Prince William and Kate Middleton.

Some of the blame for the blowback could be attributed to Kim's mom Kris Jenner, who has pushed and pushed to expand the Kardashian kingdom to stores, clothing lines, magazines and more Kardashian TV reality shows.

Perhaps with high unemployment numbers, stagnate wages, skyrocketing foreclosures, Americans are finally ready to stop handing over money and attention to the Kardashians, what do you think?
