Arcade Fire Debuts ‘Afterlife’ on Saturday Night Live (Video)

| by Alex Groberman

Arcade Fire debuted their new song, Afterlife¸ on Saturday Night Live. As is the case with most new songs that premiere on national television, it was met with something of a mixed reaction.

Although the new tune is undeniably catchy and will probably be a radio regular for a while, the good folks on Twitter and Facebook insisted that this was a departure from what made Arcade Fire great. The standard insults were hurled, including, but not limited to: calling all involved sell outs, drug use references and the inevitable calls for the band to break up.
