A former America’s Next Top Model finalist was sentenced to 12 years in prison on Wednesday after pleading guilty to multiple criminal charges.

Renee Diane Alway pleaded guilty to four counts of felony burglary, one count of vehicle theft and one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm. The 28-year-old was also ordered to reimburse over $58,000 to victims. She was dismissed of more than a dozen other counts including resisting an officer, possession of a controlled substance and receiving stolen property.

Calls were made in June 2013 to Palm Springs police about a suspicious female seen near a vacated home, TMZ reported. Officers responded to the report and spotted a condominium with an open back door. After police entered the building, Alway was found hiding in the garage reportedly armed with a gun.

Alway was then arrested with bail set at $150,000. When she appeared in court in 2013, where she was given a drug evaluation, she had shaved her head. Her sister reported that Alway wanted to “start over” by shaving off her hair.

Alway was one of three final contestants on cycle 8 of "America's Next Top Model" in 2007.
