MLB: White Sox Dunn Has Emergency Appendectomy

| by Off The Record

What’s with all the appendectomies? Last week, it was St. Louis Cardinals slugger Matt Holliday who needed an appendectomy, and now it’s Chicago White Sox big man Adam Dunn.

The DH went 0-4 for in a loss to the Kansas City Royals on Tuesday and didn’t feel right after the game. So, he had trainer Herm Schneider drive him to a local Kansas City hospital where he found out he needed an emergency appendectomy.

Hopefully for Dunn, he’ll get lucky and not need a trip to the DL. The team confirmed that he will travel home with the team on Wednesday.

Dunn is hitting .286 in four game this season.
