Does President Obama Agree with Jesus?

You decide! This past Sunday (October 11), CNN reported:

Obama to gay group: ‘Still laws to change, hearts to open’

...President Obama delivered a rousing speech Saturday night to the nation’s largest gay rights group, praising the gay community for making strides in equal rights...

Human Rights Campaign issued a statement praising the speech, saying it was a “historic night when we felt the full embrace and commitment of the president of the United States. It’s simply unprecedented.”

The president said he backed the rights of gay couples, saying they should have the “same rights and responsibilities afforded to any married couple in this country.” He said he has urged Congress to repeal the Defense of Marriage Act and to pass the Domestic Partners Benefit and Obligations Act.

This past June from the White House website we read:

NOW, THEREFORE, I, BARACK OBAMA, President of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim June 2009 as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Pride Month. I call upon the people of the United States to turn back discrimination and prejudice everywhere it exists.”

Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Creator, Savior, the Truth, the Way, and the WORD in Matthew 19: 4–5 states:

“Have you not read, that He who created them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, ‘For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife; and the two shall become one flesh’?”

    I'm a Christian...

But this article is really irrelevant. I am a Christian and a supporter of Human Rights Campaign and think being homosexual or bisexual is fine. It's just not for me. As a Christian I love all people for who they are and try to lead them to Christ. I don't try to change them being homosexual, because who is it hurting?
Also, the verse is not the best for argueing this. And this does not show an GOOD example of Obama being against Jesus... Even if he is.

    Love Not Hate

Every major religion has compassion and love at its center. Staying true to our religious values means standing on the side of love.

Too much of our public discourse is driven not by love, but by fear, which often scapegoats particular people and deems them somehow less than human. This is a violation of all faiths which are centered in love.

In the Talmud of the Jewish tradition, the sage Hillel said:
What is hateful to you, do not do to others.
This is the whole of the Law; all the rest is commentary

In the Gospel of Matthew in the Christian scriptures,
The messiah Jesus says: Whatever you wish that others would do to you, do so to them.

In the ancient wisdom of Shinto there is a saying:
The heart of the person before you is a mirror. See there your own form

WWJD - Jesus would love. Nothing more, nothing less.

    No he does not

    .

Of course not! But then again neither do the Apostate " church " in the US of A. Take the tree trunks out of your's eyes so you all can see the speck in his. Or is this article pretends to ignore the rotten spiritual and moral condition of soo many churches in this country.

This is nothing more than diversionary tactics on the part of some religulous who have a conscience problem. All it takes, is one look at the leaders of the Episcopalians, the Lutherans, the Methodists, etc. etc. you name them; to see the absolute decay and lack of Moral strenght on the part of these to point out the faults not only on this Pres. but on anyone else.

The "church" in the US of A IS an APOSTATE church. If the salt looses it's saltiness is useless and is ready to be thrown out and be trampled by men. Watch.
