Outrage: Taliban Uses 8-Year-Old Girl as Suicide Bomber in Afghanistan

In a new low even for a despicable terrorist organization, the Taliban forced an eight-year-old girl to be a suicide bomber, and now she is dead after following their orders.

The New York Daily News reports it happened at a police checkpoint in central Afghanistan on Saturday.

"The insurgents handed over a bag with a homemade bomb to an eight-year-old girl and asked her to take it to police forces," the Afghan Interior Ministry said in a statement, according to the British newspaper The Guardian.

"As the girl was getting close to the police, it exploded and killed the girl," the statement said.

No one else was hurt in the blast.

The girl is believed to be the youngest suicide bomber the Taliban has ever used. Of course the Taliban denies using children, but that is a lie, say government officials.

Just last week, police in Pakistan were able to defuse a bomb strapped to a 9-year-old girl. She said she was kidnapped and sent towards a checkpoint.

"They told me, 'You keep on reciting Koranic verses till you push the button,'" the girl said.
