According to Nikki Finke at Deadline Hollywood, Universal studio bosses including Ron Meyer and Jim Waters were unaware until just recently that folks who were not employed by Universal Studios could get through the gates by telling the security guard that they were "a friend of Bill's" then walking to a 12-step program in a building on the lot.
And apparently this little loophole in Universal's security has been going on for 27 years.
Popular VideoIt turns out President Trump's budget has $2 trillion error in it:
"Ron went ballistic. He was out of his mind. And it was embarrassing beyond belief that this was allowed at the same time people were using mirrors to check under cars," a source tells me. "
So as of today, the only alcoholics on the Universal lot will be employees.
