DEA Issues Statement on New DOJ Marijuana Guidelines
WASHINGTON --- The Department of Justice recently issued guidelines regarding the use of federal resources in investigations and prosecutions in states that have passed laws authorizing the use of marijuana for medical purposes. The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) issued the following statement:
“DEA welcomes the issuance of these clarifying guidelines pertaining to the use of federal investigative and prosecutorial resources in states that have enacted laws authorizing the use of marijuana for medical purposes.
"These guidelines do not legalize marijuana. It is not the practice or policy of DEA to target individuals with serious medical conditions who comply with state laws authorizing the use of marijuana for medical purposes. Consistent with the DOJ guidelines, we will continue to identify and investigate any criminal organization or individual who unlawfully grows, markets or distributes marijuana or other dangerous drugs. Those who unlawfully possess firearms, commit acts of violence, provide drugs to minors, or have ties to other criminal organizations may also be subject to arrest.
"As these guidelines point out, marijuana remains a top revenue source for the Mexican drug cartels that are wreaking havoc in Mexico and along the Southwest Border. Accordingly, DEA will continue to disrupt and dismantle these drug trafficking organizations.”

Logical and Sensible Policy regarding Medical Marijuana was and still is Long Overdue! A plant that eases pain, stops nausea, calms anxiety, relieves asthma attacks, kills some cancers, halts tumor growths and so much more without the ill side effects that synthetic medications have. The Facts have been covered up and lied about for too long! This policy shift is a baby step toward a Humane Policy that will exist one day as more Political policy fails to Science and Logic. Marijuana is Non-Lethal and absolutely can not kill you. What medicine or legal alternative can you prove to be non-lethal?
This is how the DOJ will stop prosecuting medical marijuana use- With a memo?
I used this analogy before:
This is like a cop offering to drag race with you. Sure, you're ' safe ' until you beat him. Then your car is seized and impounded while you are booked.
This memo is not a law protecting you. It just happens to be how the political winds are blowing in this moment. That can change at any moment, and then it goes back to business as usual.
Be cautious of this false sense of security.
The plural of 'anecdote' is not 'data'.
Until they move marijuana from schedule 1,there is no change . The DEA will continue too say that smoked marijuana has no medical uses
and are still going to prevent us from growing our own and removing over 70% of the cartels cash flow. I'm thinking that the DEA is the cartels, that is why they want too continue us buying our weed from them.
