This all sounds better than Bush's book reading.

Sex education not something to teach in schools ? Really?
Herpagonasifalaids says we should educate.
This is typical of a paranoid society . But in this case the kids get to hear what this man has to say straight from the source and make up their own minds. Whether they understand what he is saying or not its the idea that the president has something to say directly to the young people of this country. The best thing about it is that they get to hear it straight up without the media and parents censoring and bias that is so common. I am glad he is doing this, and getting right up in the faces of people. Its controversial and I love it. I just love how people make their decision and become so closed minded that they will not consider any other idea other than their own uninformed decisions that are based off of talking heads and news networks that have their own agenda. EDUCATE YOURSELF BEFORE MAKING ANY DECISION. Or, remain ignorant.
actually listen to the speech before judging it? Radical concept, I know; but I'm a radical guy.
Yes why not listen to him.We might learn more about him.ah ah
The thing about Obama's speeches isn't so much what he is saying but he is beginning to remind me of those futuristic movies where the leader is always on the TV blaring out platitudes.
It's not much different from other speeches given by presidents since the dawn of mass media .
FDR is a little before my time. It may be the media but Obama is on TV a lot more then any other president. Dissent is also being marginalized.
Is that bad?
Shouldn't we want to hear the president speak?
I'd rather hear him than the talking heads.
It becomes bad when more and more the president's viewpoint is the only one being heard, and all other viewpoints are being marginalized.
What other viewpoints are being marginalized?
