Police pepper-sprayed 8-year-old Aidan while he was having a violent temper tantrum at school, as revealed this morning during a "Today" show appearance.

I don't think police should have to be stabbed with a sharp stick, which would have been assault.
This kid has some problems no doubt this is the 3rd time police had been called to deal with this 8 year old. Now a better question would be "Can something be done to help this kid"?
I watched the interview yesterday. I believe the mother needs to rein in her son and get him some additional help. He needs to learn how to control his temper. He should not be allowed to act out like that. He was mad because he was at school and wanted to stay home with his mother? I think the police had no other choices but to use pepper spray. He was out of control based on what I heard in the story. I am interested in hearing the police's side of the story as well.
