It would be refreshing to watch a commercial about a real person, an excellent athlete telling his personal story. Why don't some people want to see something positive? It's the truth. If his Mom would have had an abortion , he would not have been the role model and athlete he is today. It's the other side of the story people!

It appears there are some people that would rather watch their sports and be inundated with ads from huge corporations avoiding the reality that the other side of the choosing not to have an abortion needs to be heard.

There is always the mute button if it really bothers you.

How dare anyone say a life is worth saving. If it's "life threatening", it can't be human.

I don't follow anyone, because those that appear to be on the same path usually end up just getting in my way.

It is ironic that there is so much outrage over Tim Tebow's public statement that he was appreciative that his mom chose when others are expressing anger and vengence Geter over forcing her son to kill his hamster because he brought home bad grades. Any action against a defenseless person who cannot defend themselves is inexcusable and barbaric. I applaud and admire Tim Tebo's willingness to face a lot of contraversy to speak out for those who can't speak out for themselves. The fact that his mom made her own personal choice to let him live should be made public. The women 's groups who are opposing this can spend their own 2.5 million to have their viewpoint heard as well. Free speech , that's what makes America great. CBS is to be commended.

Of course Tim Tebo is entitled to his views. But CBS is on a slippery slope.

The Nazi party has recently been on a PR blitz. They've been adopting highways, etc. Should they have equal access to having a Superbowl commercial?

CBS in this past has avoided this sticky question by not allowing any political commercials for the Superbowl. Perhaps CBS can still decide which political commercials they'll air, but that will mean CBS is implicitely endorsing when they allow the Nazi commercial to air.

Remember free speech means free speech for all. CBS was correct in the past when they made the Superbowl free from politics .

Sorry but I don't see this as a political issue although that's what many of our politicians and judges want to do. To me, it is more of a personal story of overcoming obstacles in your life that can lead to a positive outcome, not only for Tim himself and his family , but to football sports fans everywhere. To compare that to the Nazi party wanting to publicize their political views on national television is a far stretch.

It's not a comparison. It's a slippery slope argument (ie doing x leads to y.) And I'm not saying a pro-life stance will turn anyone into a Nazi :-) So it's not a stretch, since it's not a comparison.

Not political? Try telling that to Dr Tiller's widow. Soft selling a political point of view doesn't make it apolitical.

Tim Tebo is making a political point - good for him. It's a mistake for CBS to allow the Superbowl to be a political forum.
