College Football Week 12 Picks: Florida State, Clemson and More

| by

AccuScore’s resident experts are back to make their picks for Week 12 of the college football season. In addition to applying what we know about the teams we pick, we go beyond Advisor and dig into the daily line report to find teams, situations and trends to make sure the picks we give you have the best chance to win.

Florida State/Maryland over 52 Points
AccuScore is 6-3 in totals this year with Florida State and would be 7-2 had Ponder not fumbled on the goal line. While the record is what it is, the process has been right when picking the over/under with Florida State this season. The same can be said with AccuScore and Maryland where AccuScore is 5-2-2  in totals involving the Terrapins. AccuScore simulates this game at 55 points, which is three more points then the Vegas line.

Kansas State –2.5 at Colorado
It’s hard to make sense of Colorado with all they have gone through this year, but the one consistency coming from the Buffaloes are their profits against the spread with AccuScore. This season, AccuScore is 7-3 in accurately picking the side in games with CU and returning +370 units. Kansas State is just as impressive against the number where AccuScore is 6-2-1 with the Wildcats this year. In addition, Big XII ATS projections have been among our best trend plays this season where AccuScore is hitting at a 64% clip (25-14).

Clemson -13.5 vs. Wake Forest
The AccuScore simulation line is -17 in favor of Clemson.  The Tigers haven’t been great on offense, but they have proven they can play defense holding their opponents to an average of just 13 points in their last 5 games.  Wake Forest has no offense to speak of ranking 112th in passing and just 90th in scoring.  Wake is also 115th in scoring defense which bodes well for a Clemson team with some playmakers like Jamie Harper and Andre Ellington.  Clemson also plays much better at home going 5-1 on the season.

Utah State -2.5 vs. Idaho
This game is projected to be high scoring with the simulation total set at 61 points. While the line suggests that the oddsmakers see this game as even, the computer simulation favors the home Aggies by 5 points. AccuScore Advisor has a positive record on the season for both teams.
