We all love Google, we all love Owen Wilson and we all like Vince Vaughn, so by rights a film with all three of them in should be pretty good. So why does the above trailer for The Internship look so dire?
Admittedly it's been a while since Vince Vaughn made a film that wasn't total crap, similarly with Owen Wilson (except for Wes Anderson 's output of course), but this is a new low.

Understandably, they might have both just got to the stage where they don't care anymore and simply want to keep the cheques rolling in, in which case - fine, well done both of you, you've achieved your goal. But to make a film so heavily linked with a huge corporation, even one seemingly benevolent as Google?
Can you imagine anyone making something like this with Exxon? No, exactly. And if you're wondering how closely tied this actually is to Google, we can't tell you because we don't know, however as the trailer is being hosted on their YouTube account we'd imagine it's not a million miles away.
