Snoop Lion has some strong words for Congress and how they should handle gun legislation.
"Politicians, you all got to pay attention, man," Snoop said on HuffPost Live. "This world that we live in, it's so easy to get your hands on a gun. You've got to put some restrictions or ramifications on it. I can go outside right now and buy a gun. Easy. Just like that. You all should really think about it before it hits home, before it hits one of your family members or it hits you or affects someone personally that you know. It shouldn't take that. Those kids that lost their lives in Connecticut, those kids that keep losing their lives, innocent people who keep losing their lives; we have to speak up for them. We have to do something. We have to make a change. If we don't do nothing, it's going to hit us. If I can say it and I can mean it -- Goddamnit, get off your ass and make it happen."
Popular VideoPeople were so furious about this Pepsi ad that Pepsi pulled it after just one day. Watch it here and decide if it's offensive:
This isn't the first time Snoop has spoken out about gun violence. He even has a song on his new album entitled, No Guns Allowed. Snoop went on to further explain that he is not looking to ban guns altogether, but to have responsible legislation in dealing with gun violence.
"I'm speaking to gun violence. It's a big difference," he said. "I don't mind a guy having a gun that's protecting himself and knows how to use it. He's supposed to! I'm talking about these idiots with these guns that are shooting up these schools, shooting up these public places, that have no heart or no feelings for the people they're shooting. It's not fair."
