A mere hours after undergoing surgery for her hip, Lady Gaga was quick to thank her fans.
Last week, Gaga was forced to cancel the remaining dates of her “Born This Way Ball” tour due to a labral tear in her right hip, and Gaga went on to cancel more than 20 dates on the tour. Now, after successfully going through surgery, Gaga had some words for her fans:
“Monsters, you really gave me a lot of strength today. Everything happened so fast, but when it came time to face it, I reflected on the many stories and experiences you’ve shared with me about your lives. You have completely blown my mind. As they wheeled me into surgery today, I thought about all of your pain and perseverance, your unique family situations, school environments, health issues, homelessness, identity struggles — sometimes you are so brave that it terrifies me. I wonder how it’s even possible.”
Gaga was not done singing the praises of her…Monsters:
“You have changed my life. I love you and am proud to be a part of your lives. If you can do it, I can do it too, and if we stick together we can get through anything.”
While it was a lovely gesture by Gaga, one has to remember that she was just going through hip surgery. I can’t even imagine all the praises her fans would get if she was getting a root canal.
Although, whether you love Gaga or find her utterly annoying, you do have to commend her for having a great relationship with her fans.
What do you think of the words Gaga had for her fans?
