Howard Stern Replacing Jimmy Fallon on ‘Late Night’?

While it is being said that SNL alum and current Late Night host, Jimmy Fallon, might be replacing Jay Leno on The Tonight Show, it is now being said that Howard Stern may be replacing Fallon.

Leno’s contract with the Tonight Show is set to end after 2014 (thank God for that) and NBC is said to be making room for the much younger and more likable Fallon. If that falls into place, there would be a void that NBC would have to fill at Late Night and a source close to the situation is saying that NBC is “grooming” Stern to fill that void.

If this turns out to be true, it would work out perfect for Stern whose contract with Sirius XM Radio will also be up during that time and Stern would have the time to take his pervy ways and cringe-worthy humor with him to the 12:35am time slot which has usually embraced edgy humor in the past like when Conan O’Brien hosted.

Yes, while one unlikable unfunny man in Leno may be moving out, another unlikable unfunny man in Stern may be moving in. No word yet on how long Fallon will hold the job until Leno comes back for it.

What do you think of Stern as a possible replacement for Fallon? Who would you want as a Late Night host?
