"Good Morning America" co-host Robin Roberts revealed today that she has been dating a woman named Amber.
According to Mediaite.com, Roberts made the announcement on a Facebook posting, in which she thanked her family, friends and physicians for helping her through a bone marrow transplant to treat a rare blood disorder, myelodysplastic syndrome, in 2012.
One year after receiving the transplant that saved her life, Roberts wrote on Facebook:
At this moment I am at peace and filled with joy and gratitude.
I am grateful to God, my doctors and nurses for my restored good health.
I am grateful for my sister, Sally-Ann, for being my donor and giving me the gift of life.
I am grateful for my entire family, my long time girlfriend, Amber, and friends as we prepare to celebrate a glorious new year together.
Roberts has been part of ABC’s “Good Morning America” show for more than 10 years. She returned to the show earlier this year after her transplant.
