Fans Attack Robert Pattinson's New Girlfriend With Racist Tweets

| by Michael Allen

Fans of "Twilight" star Robert Pattinson have slammed his new half-Jamaican, half-Spanish girlfriend FKA Twigs with racist attacks on Twitter.

According to UpRoxx.com, FKA Twigs, a singer whose real name is Tahliah Debrett Barnett, responded to the racial insults yesterday on Twitter:

I am genuinely shocked and disgusted at the amount of racism that has been infecting my account the past week. Racism is unacceptable in the real world and it's unacceptable online.

Pattinson and FKA Twigs went public with their romance last week by holding hands at a beach in Los Angeles, noted Eonline.com.

The racist remarks left on Twitter are apparently angry fans of Pattinson and his ex-girlfriend and ex-"Twilight" co-star Kristen Stewart.

An unidentified source explained to Us Weekly why Pattinson and FKA Twigs have a strong relationship.

"They connect on music, which is something that Rob keeps pretty close to his heart," the source said. "A lot of his close friends are musicians. He loves her voice, he loves her sense of style as well, how unique she is."
