At 4:04 p.m. on May 7, Donald Trump tweeted something that’s stirred up quite the controversy.

“26,000 unreported sexual assaults in the military-only 238 convictions,” it says. “What did these geniuses expect when they put men & women together?”

As you would expect, the responses to Trump's sensitive analysis have been flowing in.

“Is Trump saying that men are all prone to rape? Or that women shouldn't be allowed in the military because they'll inevitably be assaulted? This seems like a very dark view of the world,” comments the Huffington Post. The Post echoes the common opinions pouring in from twitter users, saying that Trump’s “ridiculous remarks that are really no different than telling a victim of rape that she deserved it because of the way she dressed.”

Or, as user PaulRyanPeak expresses, “@realDonaldTrump deserves an award for ‘most idiotic tweet in the history of a whole lot of idiotic tweets.’”

Suffice it to say, Trump is certainly not fixing his broken image with this sort of talk. Although, we have to say, he doesn’t seem to be too concerned with how his words are received. As long as he gets to say whatever he wants, it seems he’ll be feeling just fine.
