A video of Justin Bieber telling some racist jokes when he was 15 years old was published last week by the UK tabloid website The Sun.
However, Gawker.com reports that the gossip website TMZ has had the same racist video for years, but sat on it in order to coerce Bieber into appearing on the TMZ TV show and to cooperate with reports.
After The Sun published the video (below), TMZ published it on Monday and noted:
TMZ got this video 4 years ago but we decided not to post it... in large part because he was 15 and immediately told his friends what he did was stupid.
However, an unidentified former TMZ employee told Gawker.com a different story: "TMZ has been sitting on this video for 3+ years and have been using it as essentially ransom so that Bieber and his team would cooperate with them and give them scoops."
A TMZ spokesperson vehemently denied these claims.
Gawker.com also reports that Bieber appeared on the TMZ TV show only one day after the supposed agreement between TMZ and Bieber's team was made (video below).
TMZ published another racist video (below) yesterday of the wholesome pop star, at age 14, singing, "There'll be one less lonely n------, if I kill you, I'll be part of the KKK."
Today, TMZ reports that the source of these two racist videos is "a guy who worked on one of Bieber's video projects... was in possession of Bieber's personal hard drive, saw the video and swiped it."
The man's lawyer reportedly asked Bieber's representatives for one million dollars for the racist videos, but was turned down. One week later, the first video turned up on The Sun.
There are rumors of more racist jokes by Bieber on video, but these alleged videos are yet to be released or confirmed.
