Most death metal bands don't take their style of music literally, but Unfathomable Ruination does.
The death metal band is going to perform from July 3 to Aug. 1 (Wednesdays to Fridays) in a giant airtight box outside a London club until they run out of oxygen, reports The Independent.
The audience will be able to see them, but not hear them.
The box, a piece of artwork by Portuguese artist Joao Onofre, is entitled "Box Sized DIE" and is part of a local art exhibition.
According to CityofLondon.gov.uk:
The box is soundproofed, determining and restricting the performance’s duration to the length of time in which the oxygen is expended. Outside the cube, viewers observe its strange vibrations, only viewing the band’s entrance and exit to the performance space.
The band’s Facebook page states, “According to the medical professionals who read The Independent, we’re all going to die… Challenge Accepted.”
