College Students Try to Imitate Miley Cyrus' 'Wrecking Ball' Video

| by Michael Allen

Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Mich. has taken down its giant pendulum because college students are trying to imitate Miley Cyrus' latest video "Wrecking Ball."

Cyrus wears a skimpy white top and bottom in the video, but also goes nude while swinging back and forth on the giant ball.

Students at Grand Valley State University are taking pictures of themselves on top of pendulum and posting the pics on Twitter, reports the Daily Mail.

However, a student-run Grand Valley State University Twitter page quotes a school official stating: "The ball has been taken down due to the safety hazard of people riding on it."

The 500-pound pendulum was designed by sculptor Dale Eldred and had been a part of the school's public art collection for 40 years, notes Total Frat Move.

The "Wrecking Ball" video was directed by photographer Terry Richardson, who is famous for shooting nearly-nude and partially-nude celebs.

Cyrus' new album "Bangerz" will be release on October 8 and will reportedly feature a song by Miley and Britney Spears.
