Bill Cosby Twitter Request for Comedy Memes Results in Rape Memes

| by Michael Allen

Bill Cosby’s social media team made the fateful decision on Monday to ask people on Twitter to create a comedy meme of the comedian.

"Go ahead. Meme me!" tweeted Cosby's Twitter page yesterday. That tweet has since been removed following the numerous rape memes that were posted by Twitter users.

The Hollywood Reporter notes that some of the memes included:

I've been accused of raping and drugging 13 women.

My favorite two things, jello pudding and rape.

Hello my name is Bill Cosby, I am the star of the classic 90s comedy 'Ghost Dad.' Also I am a serial rapist.

According to The Independent, the rape memes were in reference to the 13 women who have claimed Cosby drugged and raped them.

Cosby has always denied the allegations, but reached an undisclosed settlement with one of his accusers, Andrea Constand, in 2006.

Last month, a woman named Barbara Bowman claimed that Cosby sexually abused her in the 1980s.

TMZ noted that Queen Latifah's talk show recently canceled an appearance by Cosby, who is planning a TV comeback on NBC in January.
