New Orleans musician and self-proclaimed "Queen of Bounce" Big Freedia led hundreds of New Yorkers today in a group twerking to set a new Guinness World Record for the most people twerking at the same time.
Freedia brought together 358 people, from ages 8 to 80, to twerk for two minutes in New York's Herald Square (video below).
Popular VideoPeople were so furious about this Pepsi ad that Pepsi pulled it after just one day. Watch it here and decide if it's offensive:
“It would open a lot of doors and set history for bounce music and let the world know that we’ve been twerking for a long time. This is not new at all. Now, it’s time to set the record,” Big Freedia told Fuse.TV.
Apparently, there were two paramedics standing by in case anyone was injured while twerking. Additionally, Big Freedia’s mom and a representative from the Guinness Book of World Records were present.
Big Frieda reportedly started the twerking following a five-second countdown with an unidentified house DJ spinning dance music.
