Mike Judge, who created the TV shows "Beavis & Butt-Head" and "King of the Hill," recently gave an interview to conspiracy theorist Alex Jones (video below).
Judge, who spoke out about guns and politics, expressed his frustration about celebrities who "put out a political message when they have no idea what they’re talking about.”
When it came to firearms, according to InfoWars.com, Judge stated: "I own guns and I think if you look at it statistically, you actually are safer.”
However, a Harvard University study conducted in 2007 found that “states with higher levels of household gun ownership had higher rates of firearm suicide and overall suicide.”
A 2011 study by David Hemenway of the Harvard School of Public Health found that “guns in the home provide greater health risk than benefit” and that a gun is more likely to send a family member to the emergency room than to be used against a criminal.
Judge also spoke about the IRS looking into the tax exempt status of some Tea Party Groups.
“That does scare me, I think I’m gonna make sure to not use the words ‘tea party’ or ‘constitution’ in any of my work….that actually is scary, that’s gonna make me listen to some more Alex Jones,” said the famous animator.
Later in the interview, Judge gave his support to Jones' angry rant at Piers Morgan earlier this year: “I loved it. It’s good to see someone yelling at Piers Morgan….I was thinking right on Alex go for it!”
