Businesses & Residents Can Defeat Open Carrying of Guns

Is the gun control lobby a direct attack on civil liberties as a result of bigotry and prejudice? The gun control lobby's rhetoric is hardly new. We've heard these arguments in every age, and in every assult on the rights of individuals. If you substitute the word "gun" for " minorities " the guy control lobby sounds much like the Deep South's KKK in the middle of the last century.

Let's take direct quotes, making the substitution for illustration purposes:

"Over the past year, minorities have accelerated their efforts to normalize abnormal behavior by encouraging more and more minorities in family -friendly locations."

"In January, the brazen actions of minorities triggered a 911 call to police when the minorities showed up at a Peet’s Coffee & Tea in Livermore. Peet’s has since posted a policy banning minorities in their establishment."

"CPK does not allow minorities other than uniformed officers in our restaurants. CPK is a family oriented restaurant and the comfort and well being of our guests is a top priority. We are concerned that minorities would be particularly disturbing to children and their parents."

"The same minorities are now testing the waters at the local Starbucks. The swift actions by Peet’s and California Pizza Kitchen provide an effective blueprint for stopping minorities in their tracks and helps us to raise the alarm that minorities are bad for families, bad for communities and even bad for businesses."

This all DOES sound strikingly familiar, does it not?

But, then again, what else can we expect from operations like 'Freedom' States Alliance? Serfdom is, in their eyes, more desirable than responsibility.

the FSA would like to tell us all how to deal with thugs like this, from Minneapolis PD...

V1/BM – 23 yrs. was visiting family in duplex (upper) when he heard knocking on door. S1/unk – BM 23-26 yrs./short/thin/short braids/violent carrying a blk automatic gun and wearing all black forced his way in. S1 yelled for V1 to “Lay down nigga. Strip.” V1’s pants, shoes, cell and wallet were stolen. When S1 left he stated “should have killed you bitch ass” and “kill all your family.” S1 fled on foot.

I won't hold my breath waiting for the FSA to issue an apology as they have no moral compass, no concern for anyone who disagrees with thier agenda. That anyone supports them is repulsive.

Imagine this. Sipping hot chocolate with your toddler at Starbucks, when a thug in a ski mask comes in with a gun, and robs the cashier. As he leaves he decides he doesn't want to leave any witnesses.

Imagine this, Attending your child's birth day party at an Outback Steakhouse, you suddenly hear rapid gun fire. Two men with empty holsters break a window and start throwing your kids out of it, until they are unfortunately gunned down by two evil people that decided to go down in infamy.

-- Shopping at the local Walmart when an argument breaks out among two patrons, one of whom has a weapon attached to his belt.

Imagine this, Shopping at the local Walmart, you see an argument between TWO people with loaded guns on their hips. After a few short seconds they peacefully work it out and go about their business since neither of them wants to get shot.

Oh my good golly god ! Pro gunners can make emotional arguments too! Who would have guessed that the weakest, most base form of argument could be made by BOTH sides of the debate.

You sheep can put yourselves at the mercy of killers and criminals if you want. If you don't want to arm yourselves, ok fine with me. But I for one, will defend myself and my family . It seems that when you have seconds to live at the mercy of a killer, the police are only minutes away.

First off, almost no " open carry " people kill others with thier weapons while people that illegally carry them in thier pants pocket seem to be on a rampage. When the police go after the pants pocket carriers, it's labeled profiling or out right racism . Either go after criminals with guns or shut up about it.

When CCW people go outside the law and shoot someone outside the law, they are accountable to the law. They ARE law abiding when they get thier permits, otherwise they wouldn't get them.

In this country, we don't punish people for crimes they may commit.

you people are such losers. Give up already. No one is buying your BS any more. The fear you must live with day in and day out is not worth it. Come out of your house and enjoy life.

I find it interesting that the article suggests relying on police for protection. Beyond the cliche of "When seconds count, police are minutes away," there's the issue of case law . Current case law in the US through Gonzales v City of Castle Rock, Warren v District of Columbia, and Balistreri v. Pacifica Police Department state that the police have no duty to protect any single person. There is no duty to respond for police when it comes to a 911 call. Therefore you alone are responsible for your protection.
