Charles Haddon, (middle) the frontman of Ou Est Le Swimming Pool, jumped to his death from a telecommunications tower behind the main stage at the Pukkelpop festival shortly after the band performed.
Haddon, 22, fell to the parking lot below and was pronounced dead.
The band posted a statement on their website saying: “After performing with his band Ou Est Le Swimming Pool, singer Charles Haddon decided to take his own life. Our thoughts and sympathies go out to his family and friends.”
Sadly this wasn’t the only tragedy at the Belgium festival. On Thursday, Michael Been, 60, of the 80′s band The Call died after suffering a heart attack backstage.
