The future does not look bright for South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford a day after he admitted that he left the country in order to carry out an affair with an Argentinian woman. During his absence Sanford failed to officially place Lieutenant Gov. Andre Bauer in charge, leaving the state vulnerable to a number of political and natural disasters.
With the state still reeling, both South Carolina residents and members of the state legislature are beginning to speak out - almost entirely negatively - about the Sanford crisis.
