They'll bet on anything across the pond, and here's more proof to that -- Ireland's biggest bookie is setting odds and taking bets on Sarah Palin's new gig at Fox News. Specifically, how long it will last and whom she will insult first.
Calling the failed vice presidential candidate "gaffe prone," bookmaker PaddyPower.com thinks Palin won't even last the year at Fox. Here are the odds being offered on when Palin will leave or get the ax:
8/1: Before Sept. 1, 2010
10/11: Between Sept. 1, 2010, and Dec. 31, 2010
11/10: After Jan. 1, 2010
And then there is the question -- which minority group will she insult first?
8-1: Single parents
10-1: The poor
12-1: Arab Americans
16-1: Native Americans
16-1: Third world countries
20-1: The infirm
20-1: Inuits (Eskimos and related groups)
25-1: Jehovah's Witnesses
But according to the article in the Philadelphia Inquirer, the good folks over at PaddyPower don't have a completely negative view of the woman who bailed on Alaska in the middle of her first term. They list her as 5-1 to be the next GOP presidential nominee, tied with Newt Gingrich, and trailing only Mitt Romney (3-1) and Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour (4-1).
