Muslims Burn U.S. Flags: Osama Bin Laden Backlash Begins

| by Mark Berman Opposing Views

Protestors burned an American flag during an anti-U.S. rally in Multan, Pakistan. They chanted "Down with America! Down with Obama!" and "Jihad, Jihad the only treatment for America," according to a report in the Daily Mail.

They held up signs declaring Bin Laden a "Muslim Hero."

The fear is that a new round of terrorist attacks could soon come or the number of those sympathetic to a radical Islamic agenda will grow. The Pakistani Taliban, a group allied with al-Qaeda that has been behind dozens of attacks in Pakistan as well as the failed Times Square bombing, has vowed revenge.

"Let me make it very clear that we will avenge the martyrdom of Osama bin Laden, and we will do it by carrying out attacks in Pakistan and America. We will teach them an exemplary lesson," Pakistani Taliban spokesman Ahsanullah Ahsan said.
