Is troubled soul chanteuse Amy Winehouse‘s latest rehab stint her last chance saloon? Tis according to a new report.
Winehouse checked into London’s The Priory clinic last week. The 27-year-old is seeking treatment before hitting the road for a series of performances in June.
“She wants to be ready for performances in Europe this summer and decided to seek an assessment. She will remain at the Priory on doctors’ advice,” her rep said in a statement.
Well, according to The Sun, Winehouse, 27, has been given a right earful from doctors at The Priory.
She’s reportedly been told by docs to change her lifestyle, and give up the booze.
A source said: “It’s the last chance saloon for Amy. Doctors have come down hard on her because of the severity of her situation. It’s a harsh reality but she had to hear it.”
The website reports that her father, Mitch, and boyfriend, Reg Traviss, were at the singer’s bedside while docs dished out the ultimatum – quit drinking or die.
The source added: “They are worried about her. Mitch has been down this road before during Amy’s drug addiction. But she is there of her own accord this time and wants to sort herself out.”
Crikey, let’s hope so!
