Carrie Fisher has signed on to be the new spokesperson for weight-loss company Jenny Craig. The "Star Wars" actress recently admitted to the UK's Daily Mail: "I'm fat. All the clothes in my closet belong to another chick. They have to make a new alphabet for my bra size."
Fisher, who weighed 105 pounds when she played Princess Leia in the original "Star Wars" movie trilogy, topped out at 180 pounds recently. She began gaining the weight three years ago, while on the road with her one-woman show "Wishful Drinking." When her father, actor Eddie Fisher, died last September, she started binging on ice cream and junk food.
Online comments about her weight spurred Fisher to start losing weight. "I look on the Internet and they say, 'Whatever happened to Carrie Fisher? She used to be so hot and now she looks like Elton John.' I was really hurt," she said. She joined Jenny Craig in November, and has lost 12 pounds since then by eating healthily and exercising.
