Actor Michael Douglas has a cancerous tumor in his throat. His spokesperson told People magazine that Douglas will undergo eight weeks of radiation and chemotherapy, and that his doctors expect him to make a full recovery. "I am very optimistic," Douglas said in a statement.
Douglas, 65, saw his son Cameron sentenced to five years in prison in May after he pled guilty to distribution of crystal meth and possession of heroin.

Douglas's next movie is "Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps," directed by Oliver Stone, in which he reprises the role of corporate raider Gordon Gekko. He played Gekko in 1987's "Wall Street," also starring Charlie Sheen, and won an Oscar for Best Actor for the performance. He's also set to play pianist Liberace in a 2010 biopic.
Douglas is married to the actress Catherine Zeta-Jones, and they have two children, Dylan and Carys.
