Who Do You Believe: Jenna Jameson or Tito Ortiz?

| by MomLogic

When we heard that Jenna Jameson was allegedly abused by boyfriend Tito Ortiz, our hearts broke for her and her 13-month-old twin boys, Jesse and Journey.

Tito has been charged with felony domestic violence but claims he's innocent. Meanwhile, Jameson has gotten a restraining order against Ortiz, whose nickname is the Huntington Beach Bad Boy.

The Ultimate Fighting heavyweight champ claims Jameson is addicted to Oxycontin. Ortiz allegedly found drugs in their home Monday morning, leading to the confrontation that ended with Ortiz's arrest. "Jenna Jameson has been fighting an ugly battle with an addiction to Oxycontin for well over a year, and this morning, she had a relapse," Ortiz's attorney Chip Matthews said. "We're here because Tito was trying to help her. Tito Ortiz never laid a hand on Jenna."

Ronald Richards, Jameson's attorney, told that the mixed martial arts champ's claim is false and irrelevant. "You can't hit your spouse even if they are under the influence of anything," Richards said.

This story is sad on many levels -- but the biggest victims are also the smallest: 13-month-old twins Journey and Jesse. They are reportedly being cared for by Jenna's dad while Jenna jets off to Vegas with friends, reports Famecrawler. She told reporters that she's "keeping her mind off the negativity. I just want to jet off to Vegas and relax by the pool. Maybe I'll buy a really, really, really tiny bikini and make Tito jealous." Huh?

If you believe you or someone you love is in an abusive relationship, here are the signs to look for, according to momlogic expert Dr. Michelle Golland:

The most predominant warning sign is simply fear of your partner. Are you controlled and belittled? If yes, then you may be in an abusive relationship. Other typical signs include:

• Frequent injuries or "accidents"
• Partner harassing victim
• Fear of partner
• Personality changes in victim (once outgoing and no longer)
• Excessive fear of conflict
• Submissive behavior
• Isolation from friends and family
• Monetary control/abuse: not enough money given to victim for reasonable living expenses
• Depression, crying, low self-esteem

Relationship violence takes many forms. It may include one or all of the following:

• Physical abuse
• Emotional and psychological abuse
• Sexual abuse
• Economic/financial abuse

We hope that the truth about Tito and Jenna eventually comes out -- and that the kids don't suffer too much in all this chaos.
