Malik Medford, a 9-year-old boy in West Virginia, took on a 32-year-old man and thwarted a potential carjacking by yanking the keys out of the ignition, protecting his younger brothers who were strapped in car seats. The amazing story from the Associated Press:

    Sort of like the 9 year olds we see in Iraq and elsewhere around the world. There is still hope for American youth when one steps up to the plate and protects the family from harm. Of course, he would be from West Virginia ...
