Dashcam video from the Travis County Precinct 3 Constable's Office in Texas shows a deputy stopping a 72-year-old woman for speeding. She refuses to sign the ticket and a confrontation follows.

I think most of you need to actually read law enforcement manuals. tasers are to be used instead of physical force. Had the police officer used physical force he probably would have broken something in this woman. Had this been a punk looking kid no one would be discussing it.
Tasers are supposed to be used as an alternative to lethal force. Lethal force would not be justified in this situation so I don't see how the use of a Taser can be justified.
It is yet another abuse of power by an armed constabulary.
Just law because they woman is 72 that gives her the right to be rude and disresptful? You break the law , you pay the price,..if you don't like the consequences..follow the rules! She was a bitch..she whould have just done what the officer requested. That is like saying that because the man that open fire in the holocaust museum today is exempt from punishment because he was 88!
Dude, Tasers are to be used as an alternative to lethal force. Are you telling me that the officer would have been justified if he shot the granny with his pistol?
Your comparison is not fair. Nobody suggested she should get away with resisting arrest but if a 6 foot, 200+ pound cop can't arrest a potty-mouthed granny without shooting her, he hasn't been trained properly.
It is abuse of power, plain and simple.
Our Justice System creates monsters by giving our "lawmen" too much power. They become sadistic and evil- this cop is evidence.
